WOW!!!I'm already champing at the bit, ecstatic, pumped up, you name it...for this one!!! Good thing I have already bought my tickets for the UFC 153! The event might be sold out at this time!!! It's is going to be my first time ever at a live UFC event and for my delightful surprise I get on the net to come across such a great piece of news! As a typical die hard Brazilian fan I'll be surely rooting my heart out for our Brazilian steamroller, Jose Aldo, also known by some as "the scarface". It's a pity though the audience at the arena will be mostly composed by casual MMA fans who have little to no idea who Frank Edgar is and might boo him frenetically as he walks out to the octagon. Also, still thrilled by Jose last appearance in Rio, when he dispatched Chad 'money' Mends within the very first round, some may think it's going to be a cake walk for Aldo and get very disappointed. Franky is a hell of a warrior and has proven time and again how tough and capable of upsetting the apple carts he is. I should commence saving up for the beers and popcorn cuz this one will be a slugfest five rounder for sure! See you all there!

Junior dos Santos will knock Cain Velasques

There is no denying that Velasques is a very well-rounded fighter who possesses all the weapons, tools, and skills of a great champ inside or outside the octagon. However, I doubt he's had to face as many woes and hardships in life as my fellow countryman JDS. One has to know it's damn hard to get a good break in Brazil once you stem from humble beginnings. Even though Brazil is known for its great masters of Jiu-Jitsu, MMA is not as big and popular as it is in the USA right now. Most fighters strive to make ends meet and can only usually train at night before landing a sponsor or a good contract. 

Top-notch Brazilian fighters had to overcome a bevy of hurdles all through their career and life to achieve the level they are at right now. I live near an MMA gym down here in the state of São Paulo and, at times, I swing by it to watch some sparring. I see athletes pretty much living on the premises as they can't afford to commute every day or pay rent. Those are MMA powerhouse in the making, just as JDS once was, hungry, for recognition as a fighter and, eventually, make it to the UFC! 

Make no mistake, however, the myriad of woes they have to cope with serve only to spur them on, to motivate them in their journey towards eventually becoming top contenders and providing the good life they've always dreamed of for themselves and their families. 

With the success of the latest event in Rio, as well as the recent deal closed with the biggest TV network (Rede Globo), given the newfound media hype and hoopla around the UFC, better opportunities are certainly foreseeable for these warriors. Having said that, I believe JDS' willpower, heart and resilience will be too much for Cain to handle. I say Cain Velasques will get knocked out in the second round. This prediction is as good as gold. You can take it to the bank LOL.

Cain Velasques Vs Junior dos Santos

I'm already champing at the bit to watch these two ferocious warriors go to war Saturday night! This fight is going to be a milestone for the MMA world, as Both Cain and Junior have what it takes to beat anyone else on the whole planet at this point of their careers. 

We are certainly going to find out who rightfully deserves the title of baddest man on the planet comes Saturday night. As a good old Brazilian and avid MMA fan, it goes without saying that I'll be supporting my fellow countryman JDS who, besides being as good as it can get a fighter, he is also a class act, down to earth human being who does deserve to be on top of the world.

I want to see Brazilians holding as many UFC belts as possible right now so we can generate more resources, funding, media coverage, and so on and so forth for this exceptional sport I dig so much! Down here many Brazilians who start training in mixed martial arts relinquish their dream after not finding sponsors or making enough money to make a decent living off it. 

However, the current state of affairs doesn't look as gloomy as it used to. It's rather promising as the UFC has just hammered out a deal with the biggest national TV station - Rede Globo. That is, since the fight will also be aired live for the joy of our whole nation, many people who would never spend their hard-earned greens on PPV, or subscribe to the sole fight channel available will tune in and hopefully have the experience of their lives. 

Provided that Brazilian fighters have been doing so well in the UFC recently, regardless of their poor financial means, and virtually zero national exposure, I wonder how dominant they will become granted the current fast pace growth of MMA continues...

Anderson Silva Vs Chael Sonnen

Everyone's sick and tired of knowing that Chael Sonnen is the biggest loudmouth on the face of the planet. The guy says crazy stuff off the top of his head and won't ever issue an apology. However, we gotta admit he has to be, at the moment, the single MW capable of putting his money where his mouth is as far as dealing with our champs' threats.
Even though Anderson Silva has beaten every UFC record possible and is well on his way to be considered the biggest fighter who has ever set foot on the planet. Chael Sonnen has been, undoubtedly, the thorn on his shoes. The guy was able to do what most Spiders haters had already gave up hope, to control and beat Anderson for four straight rounds, just to slip up at the very end of the fifth and be caught in a triangle choke.
We can say as many negative comments about the guys' demeanor as we want but at end of the day he will still be – as he has proven- arguably the best wrestling ( Spiders Achilles' heel) on the UFC roster and the single elite MMA athlete who poses the style to beat Anderson.
Chael's overall strength is out of this world too. He was able to neutralize Brian's knock out power and strength and hold him on the ground until getting him on a arm triangle. So impressive!
I mean, one has to think that in order for this dude to hold anyone on the ground and pound for a decision would be a walking on the park - providing he steers clear of submissions, of course.
His coaches have already said their fighter won't be making the same mistakes and will finish The Spider this time around. javascript:void(0)
As a Brazilian and die hard fan thou, as this encounter seems to be certain, come fight night I'll be at the edge of my seat rooting my heart out for Anderson. Hopefully he is already doing his homework and will come well prepared to show us all the answer to Chaels' lethal weapon.
